About Jaguar
Jaguar has spent decades building gorgeous, fast and properly comfortable cars, from the XJ limo to the shouty F-Type. They're refined and clever, though a few have a habit of throwing warning lights for a hobby and the keyless systems can get a bit precious.
AutoECU handles Jaguar keys, module programming and coding, cluster and electrical faults, so your cat keeps purring rather than hissing.
Common faults we fix
'Key not detected' after battery disconnection (JLR)
Shared JLR keyless architecture. Same fault, same fix.

Jaguar keys & fobs
Remote key with separate fob or flip key
X-Type, S-Type, XK X100, XJ X350
Classic remote plus blade setups; buttons and casings wear out and can usually be refreshed.
Smart proximity key (Smart Key)
XF X250, XJ X351, XK X150
Keyless start with a hidden emergency blade; a weak battery causes most 'key not detected' issues.
Smart proximity key (latest JLR style)
XE, XF X260, F-Pace, E-Pace, I-Pace, F-Type
Shares technology with modern Land Rovers; programming needs current security access.
Activity Key wristband
Optional on F-Pace, E-Pace and I-Pace
Waterproof wristband for sports and swimming; pairs like a normal key.
Jaguar questions
Can you programme a new key for my Jaguar if I've lost them all?
In most cases yes, we can handle Jaguar all-keys-lost jobs, including smart keys on the newer models. It's more involved than adding a spare, so having proof of ownership ready speeds things up. Call AutoECU with your registration and we'll talk you through it.
Why does my Jaguar XF say 'smart key not detected'?
Commonly it's a tired key battery, but faulty antennas, a damaged key or a module issue can cause it too. Use the backup start position first to get you going. If it keeps happening, AutoECU can diagnose and fix it.
Can you still help with Jaguars now they've stopped making these models?
Absolutely. Plenty of XE, XF, F-Pace and F-Type cars are still on the road and still need keys, coding and electrical repairs. Get in touch with AutoECU and we'll look after yours.
Need something done on your Jaguar?
We'll fill in the make for you. Just add your reg and what's wrong.
