Proton sold budget cars in the UK until the mid-2010s, and thanks to Lotus input many of them handled far better than anyone expected. They're rare now and parts can be a treasure hunt, so a lost key can feel like a bigger drama than it really is.

Proton questions
Can I still get a key for my Proton?
Yes, even though Proton left the UK, new keys can usually be cut and programmed. Blanks sometimes need ordering in. Message AutoECU with your reg and we'll check.
My Proton won't start and the immobiliser light is flashing, what's wrong?
It can be a failed transponder in the key, a fault in the immobiliser unit or wiring. A diagnostic narrows it down. AutoECU can check it on your driveway.
Can you program a Proton remote fob?
Usually yes. Many Protons use a separate remote and immobiliser, and we can program both. Call or WhatsApp AutoECU and we'll talk you through it.
